呼伦贝尔草原不是一座围起来的公园，而是一片跨旗县连片分布的草原。外国人最常去、也最容易到达的是陈巴尔虎旗的呼伦贝尔大草原·莫尔格勒河景区，距海拉尔约40到50公里，也就是看“天下第一曲水”的地方。

关于证件：中国游客刷身份证入园，外国人出示护照即可。建议随身携带护照原件而不是复印件，住宿登记、边检和部分景区核验都可能要求出示。
关于英文服务：景区标识以中文为主，观景平台和观光车站点配有图示。英文讲解不是标配，建议提前装好翻译软件，或请包车司机协助沟通。
一天怎么安排：上午从海拉尔出发，先上观景平台看曲水全景；中午在蒙古包餐厅吃手把肉、喝奶茶；下午沿河畔栈道慢走；傍晚回到观景平台等日落。草原昼夜温差可达十几度，夏天清晨看日出也要带外套。
顺路可去：额尔古纳湿地、白桦林、满洲里国门分别在呼伦贝尔北线和西线上，通常与草原串成3到5天的行程。骑马请选正规马队并听从牵马人指挥，草原公路常有牛羊横穿，自驾要减速。

Hulunbuir Grassland: Molger River Tickets, Transport and Best Season
Hulunbuir Grassland is not a walled park but a stretch of open grassland spread across several banners and counties. The section most foreign visitors reach first is the Hulunbuir Grassland–Molger River scenic area in Chen Barag Banner, about 40 to 50 km from Hailar, where the river known as the finest winding water in China cuts across the plain.
- What it is: the Hulunbuir Grassland–Molger River scenic area lies in Chen Barag Banner, Hulunbuir, Inner Mongolia, and holds China's 5A rating, the top tier for scenic sites. The Molger River loops across the flat grassland in a chain of S-curves and is known as the finest winding water in China; the viewing platform inside the scenic area is the best place to look down on it.
- Getting there: start from Hailar. Hailar Dongshan Airport has flights from Beijing, Hohhot, Harbin and other cities, and Hailar railway station is served from Harbin, Qiqihar and Manzhouli. The scenic area is about 40 to 50 km from the airport or downtown Hailar, roughly 40 to 60 minutes by road. Chen Barag Banner runs direct shuttle services to the scenic area from Hailar airport, the railway station and the bus station; you can also hire a car with a driver or self-drive along the G301.
- Tickets and opening hours: the scenic area currently waives the entrance ticket (subject to official announcement), and the shuttle bus, which covers about 86 km round trip, costs about 40 yuan per person (subject to official prices). In high season, roughly 1 June to 7 October, it opens about 8:00 and closes about 18:30; in winter, roughly 8 October to 31 May, hours are about 9:00 to 17:00. Ticket sales stop at 17:00 and entry closes at 17:10. The information line is 0470-2901888.
- Best season: late June to mid-August brings the greenest grass and the fullest river, and is the peak period. Late August to mid-September turns the grass golden with clear light, better for photography and quieter for visitors. After October temperatures fall sharply and some rest stations and toilets close, so a dedicated trip is not advisable for ordinary travellers.
- Payment and practical tips: tickets and shuttle seats can be reserved through the official WeChat account, Molger River Scenic Area, and e-tickets are also sold on Ctrip and Meituan. Mobile signal is weak in the grassland, so buy in advance and save a screenshot. Mobile payment and bank cards work for larger purchases, but bring cash for small items such as horse riding or a herder family visit. You can stay in a hotel in Hailar or in a yurt camp near the scenic area; book early in high season.

Buying tickets: online ticketing at Chinese scenic areas is usually tied to the Chinese ID number, so foreign visitors generally need to buy or exchange tickets with their passport at the visitor centre counter. A quick call to the scenic area before you set out is the simplest way to confirm the current procedure.
Documents: Chinese visitors scan their ID cards at the gate, while foreign visitors show their passports. Carry the physical passport rather than a copy, since accommodation registration, border checks and some ticket checks may require it.
English-language service: signage is mainly in Chinese, with pictograms at the viewing platform and shuttle stops. English commentary is not standard, so install a translation app in advance or ask your driver to help.
How to spend a day: leave Hailar in the morning and head first to the viewing platform for the full sweep of the river bends. Have lunch of boiled lamb and milk tea at a yurt restaurant, walk the riverside boardwalk in the afternoon, then return to the platform for sunset. Day-to-night temperature swings of more than ten degrees are normal, so bring a jacket even for a summer sunrise.
Nearby: Ergun Wetland, the birch forest and the Manzhouli border gate sit on the northern and western loops of Hulunbuir and are usually combined with the grassland into a three-to-five-day trip. Choose a licensed horse team and follow the handler's instructions, and drive slowly on grassland roads, where cattle and sheep often cross.
