China to Improve Inbound Travel Services

On September 24, 2026, China's State Council Information Office held a press conference in its “Getting Off to a Good Start in the 15th Five-Year Plan” series, at which officials from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism set out plans for high-quality development of culture and tourism during the 15th Five-Year Plan period. The ministry said it will work with relevant departments to continue improving the inbound tourism service system and to make visa, payment, tax refund, guiding, accommodation and transport more convenient for visitors.
